This game is not designed to run on your device. Add it to a collection to play later, or you can try to run it anyway.

Notes: 

  • I see the game slightly slower on the browser, but it is still playable and smooth enough for me.
  • The game isn't perfectly balanced with mob/player/item stats, item drop rates, spawn timings, etc. but I will use the playtesting period to gather feedback and balance the game as needed for beta/final build. 
    • I would like the game to be simple yet challenging at the same time if that makes sense.

Changelog:

  • New map
    • No longer infinite, but a set world of tile objects with trees, rocks, water, etc.
    • Map objects should have correct collisions with characters and bullets.
  • New melon item that increases player movement speed when collected
    • Lasts several seconds, then movement speed returns back to default.
    • Plays sound when collected and has animation when idle.
    • Currently dropped by new slime mob (1 in 5 chance currently)
  • New mob: slime monster
    • Health/speed stats and spawn timer are in between the shroom and rock mobs.
    • Will drop the new melon item when killed.
    • If player gets hit by slime, player movement speed will permanently decrease by a little.
      • The only way to return the movement speed to default is to collect the melon powerup.
  • Added toggle mute button on main menu, pause menu, and game over screens.
  • Added cursor and crosshair image for mouse cursor when in game.
    • Switches from each one during gameplay/on menus.
  • Player model when facing left will stay in that direction instead of automatically turning back to face right.
